Painted clay sculpture handmade in Oaxaca, Mexico by Demetrio Aguilar (son of Josefina Aguilar). Measures 6" x 5.5" x 3.25"

Josefina Aguilar (1945-2026) was known for her playful depiction of everyday life in small red clay figurines called muñecas, and her art is included in collections around the world. She passed on her skills to her children and grandchildren, who continue to make work in their own styles.
